Ghost Tours Terms And Conditions For Admission To A Tour:

You will receive a Booking Confirmation by email for your booking.

Bring the Booking Confirmation email with you on the night of your Ghost Tour as proof of booking (it can be shown as either a printed document, or shown as the email on a mobile phone device).

Ensure that the same document is also circulated to all members of the group in your booking. It is vital to ensuring that your Ghost Tour is Safe and Creepy.

 

VERY IMPORTANT:

CLIENTS WILL BE EACH PROVIDED WITH A TORCH ON THE NIGHT
– A torch will be provided for use for the tour by the Guide to anyone that does not have a torch.

CLIENTS MUST BE WEARING FLAT-SOLED ENCLOSED SHOES
– No thongs/sandals/high-heels/bare feet. Any person who does not have the correct footwear will not be permitted on the tour. No Refund. No Transfer.

ALCOHOL IS NOT PERMITTED PRIOR TO OR DURING A GHOST TOUR
– Clients suspected of being under the influence of alcohol will be denied admission. No Refund. No Transfer.

THERE ARE GENERALLY NO TOILET FACILITIES AVAILABLE DURING EACH TOUR
– It is advisable to use toilet facilities prior to commencement of tour as it is not possible for clients to leave the tour group once the tour has commenced.

TOURS WILL STILL RUN IN THE RAIN
– The weather really adds to the atmosphere of a tour. If the weather looks bad, bring some wet weather gear, and enjoy the tour. Tours will only be cancelled if conditions become dangerous.

 

TOUR RULES:

  • By undertaking a Ghost Tour, all clients agree to abide by the following:
  • Undertaking a Ghost Tour is at your own risk.
  • Management reserves the right to refuse admission for any reason.
  • Clients engaging in inappropriate behaviour will be removed and not be entitled to a refund.
  • Tours are not suitable for children aged under 10 years (except where otherwise indicated).
  • Children aged 5-15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Clients engaging in criminal offences such as stealing, deliberately damaging or vandalising sites will be removed and may face prosecution.
  • Respect the role/authority of the Tour Guides.
  • Proof of age or other identification may be required upon request for clients claiming concessions.
  • Ghost Tours reserves the right to change a tour itinerary and/or Tour Guide(s) without notice.
  • Ghost Tours accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen property.
  • Photographic cameras are permitted during the course of the tour. To create atmosphere and to prevent blinding other clients and our staff, we ask that clients refrain from using cameras whilst Tour Guide is speaking.
  • Video cameras and recording devices of any sort are NOT permitted.
  • All tours, stories, tales etc are the intellectual property of Jack Sim and Ghost Tours Pty Ltd and may not be recorded or reproduced in any form without written permission prior to the commencement of a tour.
  • Respect other client’s experience.
  • Respect the historic sites visited.
  • Respect the dead.
  • Ghost Tours Pty Ltd reserves the right to refuse entry to any child or person whom is deemed to be at risk from the material presented.
  • Horror Costumes are not permitted to be worn. Ghost Tours reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone wearing a Horror Costume that is deemed inappropriate or distasteful. No refund. No transfer.

 

HEALTH & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

  • CLIENTS MUST HAVE A TORCH EACH – Guide will issue a torch to those that don’t have one to use during the tour.

  • Turn torches on when directed to move.
  • Torches may be turned off when stopped for atmosphere or left on for comfort.
  • Flash cameras (and Torches) can cause blindness when shone in someone’s eyes in a dark environment. Anyone found to be deliberately flashing torches/cameras into another person’s face will be immediately removed the tour – No refund granted.
  • A plastic bottle of water/soft drink is recommended (required if suffering of low blood sugar levels i.e. diabetic).
  • Stay in single file (unless directed otherwise).
  • Do not touch locks, doors and gates.
  • Do not lock doors and gates on other people.
  • Taller clients should exercise care when entering the cells, yards, rooms and buildings (mind your heads).
  • Clients with a fear of confined spaces should not enter cells, yards and rooms alone.
  • Smoking, the consumption of alcohol and use of illegal substances are not permitted BEFORE or DURING a tour, any client believed to be intoxicated, inebriated, or otherwise under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol will not be admitted – No refund granted.
  • Knives, sharp implements, weapons, pens, pencils, permanent markers, glass bottles, cans, hot food, are strictly not permitted during a tour.
  • Loitering at sites at the conclusion of tour is not permitted.
  • Switch off mobile phones during tour.
  • Limit noise during tours.
  • Bring umbrellas/raincoats in wet weather.

 

RECOMMENDATIONS:

Ghost Tours strongly recommends that clients with the following medical conditions do not undertake a tour:

  • Advanced Pregnancy
  • Strained / injured muscles
  • Recent surgery
  • High blood pressure
  • Asthma
  • Previous heart attacks
  • Weak bladders/bowels
  • Difficulties with standing/walking distances
  • Difficulties ascending and descending hills and stairs

 

WARNING:

Ghost Tours are generally not suitable for children under 10 years (unless otherwise indicated). Children under 10 will not be permitted on any tour (unless otherwise indicated). Parents and guardians are advised that the tour may feature strong content in the form of true historic ghost stories and tales delivered in a dramatic style. The stories may include gruesome and macabre material including murders, crimes, violence, deaths, executions and suicide. The stories can be frightening, scary and distressing, especially for young children.
